About Claire
I am a 20 year veteran of the public school system. I am proficient in online learning and can help students and families navigate this new world. I am certified in both biological and physical sciences. I am comfortable with the science curriculum from middle school all the way up to high school biology, chemistry, and physics. I enjoy all things outdoors and can even bring my therapy dog, Max, to our sessions!
I love working with kids and families to make science accessible and interesting. Science is how we see our world. I also love learning from my students. There is always something new when you get to know new people.
I was a park ranger at a county park and was tasked with teaching the Junior Ranger Program for guests and field trips. From that point on, I was hooked. I promptly enrolled in education courses and loved them. The rest is history.
I have been a public school science teacher for 20 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I have also taken many college courses on Astronomy, physics, ecology, and marine biology. I have also taken many courses on distance learning and Microsoft Teams.

All types. Being from the public school setting, I have worked closely with special needs, learning disabled, and English Language Learners. I also have training in Gifted and Talented education.
