About Lexius
I'm a recent Civil Engineering graduate. I have done exceptionally well in Mathematics. I've organized and lead many study groups with my peers. I've worked at the YMCA as a youth leader and Personal Trainer so working with Kids and Young adults is not a problem. My philosophy is you have to make Math fun!
I got started teaching in my beginning years of college. I realized in order to master a subject you had to be able to teach it to someone else who has no understanding about that subject.
I am a senior civil engineering student at the University of Texas at Arlington right now and I graduate in December. In high school I was also on the math team.

My typical process for working with a new student is getting to know them and their interests. Also I like to get to know their learning style(s) so that I can help provide the best service for them specifically. Typically I will assess how well the student grasp the material so that I have a clear understanding of what areas within the subject the student needs the most help.
I have worked with students with disabilities, and all ages from k-college.
My advice is to realize that once you change your mentality on a specific subject that subject isn't as intimidating. For instance, in my expertise if you don't think of it as too hard or Un-doable then it might actually become fun.
One of the recent events I am fond of before the pandemic happened was helping younger kids at the YMCA learn how to exercise.

Students should think about what they are struggling with for that specific subject. Students should also think about the reason why they believe they are having difficulty in the subject?
