About Alex
As a dedicated acting coach, I focus on creating a space where performers can truly listen, connect, and transform. Through tailored private sessions, I help actors hone their ability to listen deeply to their scene partners, responding truthfully and moment-to-moment. We explore the importance of playing actions that come from instinct, not just intellect, allowing each performance to feel fresh and alive.
My approach is grounded in the belief that the core of great acting is truthfulness, where vulnerability and authenticity take center stage. Whether you're preparing for a role, enhancing your craft, or working on specific techniques, we will focus on letting go of inhibitions and having fun in the process. Acting is a joy, and together, we’ll unlock your full potential in a supportive and playful environment.

Alex directed me in "Ripcord" by David Lindsay-Abaire at The Mendocino Theatre Company. Alex uses his experience as actor and teacher to easily communicate with the actors he directs. I played multiple roles in the production and he was a huge help in not only bringing the characters to life, but also in differentiating the characters while still keeping the reality of them and their situations and objectives. I enjoyed working with Alex and look forward to the next time we work together.
Mark FriedrichAlex is an excellent acting coach. He provides confidence, insight, exploration and definitely enthusiasm. I have participated in his Acting Classes and, well after the classroom situation, they have helped over and over again.
