About Shannon

I am a passionate Spanish tutor who loves helping students build confidence through conversation, practical learning, and cultural experiences. In addition to teaching Spanish, I also teach culinary classes in Spanish, where students can learn vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills through cooking, recipes, and interactive hands-on activities in a fun and engaging environment.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is interactive, supportive, and focused on building real conversational confidence in Spanish. Lessons are personalized for beginners to intermediate students, including school students and adults.

A typical lesson goes like this:

Check in with each other in Spanish to gauge fluency and comfort level
Focus on areas of interest and vocabulary
Practice tenses, conjugation, pronunciation, and conversation
Wrap up by reviewing what we learned and discussing goals for the next lesson

I create a relaxed environment that encourages students to speak confidently and improve naturally without stress, so you can feel confident when you go out to speak in the real world!

In my years of yoga practice, Shannon has been my favorite teacher to learn from. Her essence radiates through all of her students in a way that brings bliss and oneness. It is really indescribable how she creates a space so effortlessly. I always feel safe and excited to explore new postures under her guidance. She caters each lesson to who she is practicing with, not just a routine. She is always responding to questions with care and gentle guidance. Nothing is ever “wrong” in her eyes, but she always helps me seek improvements and regularity in my practice. Shannon deeply understands the roots of yoga and it’s core values relating to union and the mind. I’d recommend Shannon to anyone lucky enough to learn from her.
