About Shaheer
As a former Deputy Head of Science, I have extensive experience developing and leading curriculum programmes across Key Stages 3–5. I have designed schemes of work, assessment strategies and intervention programmes, monitored student progress and supported teachers with teaching and learning. This leadership experience allows me to provide tuition that is carefully structured, aligned with exam specifications and focused on achieving measurable progress.

How I Teach
My lessons are personalised around each student’s ability, learning style, interests and individual goals. Whether lessons take place online or in person, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.
Online Tuition
Online lessons are interactive and structured rather than simply being a teacher talking through a presentation. I use digital resources, virtual whiteboards, screen sharing, worked examples, questioning, retrieval activities and exam-style questions to keep students actively involved throughout the lesson.
Students receive clear explanations and modelling before gradually taking responsibility for completing questions independently. I use live marking and immediate feedback to identify misconceptions and address gaps in understanding as they arise.
In-Person Tuition
In-person lessons allow me to use a wider range of practical, visual and hands-on activities. I can adapt the lesson in real time based on the student's responses, confidence and concentration, using resources such as diagrams, models, practical demonstrations, written work and exam questions.
For students who benefit from movement or find it difficult to maintain concentration, I can incorporate short activities, physical movement and their personal interests into lessons. I have found this particularly useful when supporting students with ADHD and those who have found traditional classroom environments challenging.
For Every Student
I use a combination of retrieval practice, modelling, scaffolding, questioning, worked examples, visual learning and exam practice. Lessons are carefully pitched to provide the right level of challenge—supporting students where they have gaps while also pushing them towards their target grades.
Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson knowing what they have learnt, what they can now do independently, and what they need to work on next.

This is not only a teacher, a guider, a firm believer in the capabilities of his students. He is also a certified Legend. That is a phrase that I do not use quite often but I must. Sir made all of my lessons fun especially my practical exams. He is outgoing and easy to talk to. Thats why he is a Legend.
