About Nomthandazo
I am a passionate and dedicated tutor who believes that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. I have a strong academic background, practical teaching experience, and a genuine love for helping students grow in confidence and ability.
I became a tutor because I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because mathematics is often taught in a way that doesn’t suit how they learn. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable ideas and watching that “aha” moment when everything finally makes sense.
Tutoring allows me to make learning personal, supportive, and effective. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them believe in themselves, develop problem-solving skills, and approach mathematics with confidence rather than fear.

My lessons are unique because I don’t just teach mathematics — I teach understanding.
I take time to understand how you think, where you get stuck, and why certain topics feel difficult. Instead of memorising formulas, I break concepts down into simple, real-life examples that actually make sense.
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and pressure-free. You’re encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace. I focus on building confidence first, because once you believe you can do maths, improvement follows naturally.
Every lesson is tailored to your goals — whether it’s passing exams, improving grades, or finally enjoying mathematics. With me, you won’t feel rushed, judged, or left behind. You’ll feel supported, motivated, and capable.

Nomthandazo is an amazing person with a heart of gold. She's not only kind and caring, but also has a gift for working with people and teaching others. Her patience and understanding make her a wonderful mentor, and she's always willing to lend a helping hand. She's a blessing in disguise.
Nomthandazo was recommended by a friend when my son needed a tutor as he was struggling with the subject.
She teaches with so much patience and makes learning fun. She is good at what she does and has this friendly side that makes students relax and engage freely during her lessons.
I remember when my son became frustrated because he couldn't solve a math problem. It was already after 9 p.m., and he swore that he wouldn't sleep before solving the problem. I called Nomthandazo, and she didn't hesitate to help him and even gave him a free 1-hour lesson through a video call.
PS: My son had been struggling with math and got nothing above 30 percent until Nomthandazo came to the rescue.View more recommendations
