About Arnelyn
I am a dedicated and experienced Mathematics teacher with 22 years of teaching experience, including 5 years teaching in U.S. classrooms as a J-1 teacher. Throughout my career, I have taught students with different abilities, learning styles, and levels of mathematical understanding.
I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and general mathematics, and I have also served as a Mathematics Department Chair, mentor, and demonstration teacher.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and learn from their mistakes. I believe that every student can improve in mathematics with the right guidance, clear explanations, and consistent practice.

My approach is student-centered, patient, and focused on helping students truly understand mathematics rather than simply memorize formulas.
I begin by identifying the student's strengths and learning gaps, then tailor each lesson to their needs and level. I use clear explanations, step-by-step examples, guided practice, and independent exercises, with regular feedback to build understanding and confidence.
A typical lesson includes a short review, introduction of the new concept, worked examples, guided practice, and independent problem-solving. I adjust the pace and difficulty according to the student's progress.
What sets me apart is my extensive classroom experience and my international teaching background. My goal is to help every student become a more confident, independent, and capable mathematics learner.
My lessons are for elementary, middle school, junior high school, and high school students. I also support students who need remedial instruction, homework assistance, assessment preparation, or additional practice.
