About Thierry
I am a finance and data professional with extensive experience across management accounting, FP&A, financial modelling, reporting and business analysis in international organisations and project environments.
My professional background has included month-end reporting, management accounts, group reconciliation, cash-flow forecasting, financial modelling, ERP projects and providing financial analysis to support operational and management decisions. I have worked across industries including manufacturing, energy, oil and gas and professional services.
I also have a strong data and systems background, using tools such as Excel, Power BI and SQL. This means I can help students understand not only the accounting concepts themselves, but also how financial information is structured, analysed and presented in modern finance teams.
I enjoy explaining finance by connecting the numbers back to what is actually happening in a business. My approach is analytical, patient and practical, with an emphasis on understanding the logic behind a calculation rather than simply learning a formula.

My lessons focus on practical management accounting and understanding how finance is actually used to support business decisions, rather than simply memorising accounting rules.
Topics can include management accounts, P&L and balance sheet analysis, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, cash-flow forecasting, working capital, KPIs, management reporting, reconciliations, cost analysis, scenario modelling and financial decision-making.
I can also help with FP&A concepts, financial modelling and using Excel to turn accounting and operational data into useful analysis for management.
Lessons are tailored to your goals and can be based around course material, professional development, interview preparation or a real business problem. You are welcome to bring your own exercise, model or financial report and we can work through it together.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes and is suitable for university students, trainee accountants, finance professionals, business owners and people moving into management accounting or FP&A roles.
