About Suzy YD
I believe learning should be accessible and supportive. To encourage inclusivity, I provide a Buy 1 Free 1 arrangement for learners with mental health challenges. My lessons are designed to be patient, flexible, and confidence-building, so every learner feels safe and supported while improving their English. I am an experienced English tutor with over 5 years of teaching background, including as a part-time teacher at Cambridge English for Life (2003–2005), where I prepared young learners for Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE) exams. I now specialize in helping learners of all ages improve their English for study, work, and everyday communication. My focus areas include: Business English – workplace communication, presentations, and professional writing Conversational English – practical speaking skills for confidence in daily life and travel Young Learners English – phonics, literacy, and Cambridge YLE exam preparation Please note: While my classes are supportive and inclusive, they are English lessons and Not therapy or counseling session.

My teaching style is student-centered, patient, and adaptable. I focus on creating a psychologically safe learning environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes, ask questions, and build confidence in their English. A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up to set the tone, followed by targeted practice based on the learner’s goals—whether it’s improving pronunciation, mastering workplace communication, or developing writing skills. I use a mix of interactive activities, real-life examples, and guided practice to ensure lessons are practical and engaging. I believe every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs, learning pace, and preferred style. For children, this means more games and storytelling; for adults, we focus on real-world applications like presentations, business emails, or everyday conversations. My goal is not just to teach English, but to help learners feel confident using it in school, at work, and in daily life.
