About Satchel
I'm Satchel Victory, a veteran English teacher originally from New York City. After a year teaching SAT and TOEFL test prep, as well as English as a foreign language in Italy, I taught for 9 years at a public arts magnet high school in Texas, where I created and implemented lessons at all high school levels (English I, English II, AP Literature and Composition, Creative Writing). My lessons often incorporated social emotional learning into rigorous and nuanced English content, engaging students through relevant and connective content and dialogues, in order to facilitate growth and development of English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
