About Prerna
I’m an educator and children’s human-skills coach with several years of experience working with children in schools and enrichment programs.
I founded and run Mavericks Kids Club, where I teach children aged 7–12 critical thinking, creativity, communication, problem-solving and entrepreneurship.
I have also completed professional teacher training in teaching and learning.
I love making learning engaging, practical and enjoyable, and helping children build confidence along the way.

My classes are personalized to each child’s level, learning style and individual needs. I believe children learn best when they understand concepts rather than simply memorizing information or being given answers.
I teach Math, Science and English to students in Grades 3–6, while also helping children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, confidence and independent learning skills.
Depending on the child’s needs, a class may include:
• Building and strengthening core concepts
• Working through schoolwork or homework
• Problem-solving and applying concepts to real-life situations
• Reading, comprehension and written expression
• Exam and assessment preparation
• Developing logical reasoning and critical-thinking skills
• Building better study habits and learning independently
I use questioning, discussion, examples, activities and practical applications to help children think through problems rather than simply follow a formula. I encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions and make connections between what they learn and the world around them.
Classes are primarily one-to-one and are suitable for children following different school curricula. Whether a child needs extra academic support, wants to strengthen their foundation or simply wants to become a more confident learner, I adapt the class to what they need.
My aim is for every child to finish a class not just knowing the answer, but understanding why the answer is right and feeling confident that they can work it out themselves.
