About Carol
I have been a teacher for private, charter and online schools. I was a school owner in Costa Rica with tremendous success. I have taught all subjects including AP Psychology and English. I have a natural love for learning. I have been nominated as a Claes Educator of Distinction for two years, and have taught students of all learning types and challenges. I am 80% fluent in Spanish as well, so this can allow me to tutor students who are struggling with learning english as a second language.
I have been a Committee Chair of SAACS accreditation, which basically means I have extensive subject matter knowledge and understanding of benchmarks and standards for the state of Georgia and Florida. I currently hold a valid Florida Teaching credential for Biology (6-12) and Chemistry (6-12).
I can also tutor AP Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Psychology, and Anatomy and Physiology.

I am looking to do a full time tutorial for students who are taking online courses through FL Virtual, Connections, or the like. I can do this via Google Chat or we can meet in person daily for a few hours. I am located beachside in Melbourne. I have been a teacher for 18 years teaching math, english, and science courses from grades 5th-AP level courses. I have been doing curriculum development for STEM project-based learning but would like to stay home to spend more time with my two-year old son. I am also going back to school, so tutoring allows me to have a more flexible schedule.
I am an energetic and creative teacher, students will do hands on activities with me to enhance learning, while completing online work.
Additionally, I am available for hourly tutoring in math (pre-algebra, algebra I and algebra II); I can also tutor students in Chemistry and Biology; along with AP Environmental science, Anatomy and Physiology. I have years of experience teaching all levels of MS coursework (Life science, Physical science, and Earth Science).
