About Rita
Hello, I am Rita! I'm a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong academic background, excited to help students reach their full potential. I graduated high school with a 98.65 ATAR, excelling in STEM subjects and languages (Chinese and EAL), and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science at UNSW. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build confidence and inspire a genuine love for learning.

Tutoring Experience & Expertise
I offer tutoring in:
- Mathematics: From foundational math to advanced topics, including VCE General Maths, Math Methods, and Specialist Maths. I also have experience with university-level math.
- Programming (Python & C): With a solid programming foundation, I guide students through coding principles and problem-solving strategies.
- English as an Additional Language (EAL): As a high achiever in VCE EAL and with an IELTS score of 7.0, I support students in strengthening their English skills, especially those adapting to an English-speaking environment.
- Chinese: As a native Mandarin speaker and top performer in VCE Chinese First Language, I help students improve their language proficiency.
Availability
Days: Monday to Sunday
Hours: Flexible—typically between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends
Location: I’m available for sessions at students' homes, libraries, online, or any convenient location.
Tutoring Approach & Lesson Structure
My approach is personalized and student-centered. During our sessions:
- I assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring lessons to meet their unique needs.
- Lessons balance theory with hands-on practice. For example, in programming, students work on real-world coding problems alongside instruction.
- I provide worksheets, notes, and recommended textbooks as needed, particularly for math and EAL.
