About Grace
Hello! My name is Grace Sullivan, and I am a sophomore at Saint Louis University. I am majoring in Biology and Philosophy on a Pre-Heath track, so as you can see my interests vary. I can assist in any subject, but I mainly focus on biology, chemistry, anatomy, english, and reading. I have been tutoring for two years, and through my time tutoring I have figured out that the best way to help students learn is by creating a fun and comfortable environment for them to reach their full potential.
I enjoy tutoring because I love being able to use what I have learned through my education to assist others, so they may also continue their academic journey with confidence. I have noticed that most of the time, students think that they don't know how to tackle a problem when, in reality, it's their self-doubt that's in the way. Being able to bring up a student's self-assurance is hugely gratifying, and is why I enjoy tutoring.
I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student at Saint Louis University. I am majoring in Biology and Philosophy on a Pre-Health track. I mainly focus on the sciences, but I also enjoy teaching english and reading. I am able to help students properly write essays, which they can then utilize throughout their academic career. I am also available for ACT/SAT preparation. I have been tutoring through my university for about two years now, ranging from elementary schoolers to high schoolers.

Everyone differs in which method of learning is most efficient. When working with a new student, I like to be able to get to know them first in order to understand what type of learner they are to allow them to be succesful in their schoolwork. I also make sure to keep the environment fun and relaxed to ease any nerves and make the student feel comfortable.

My pricing starts at 20$/hr, but I am definitely open to negotiating prices. Due to the current situation of COVID-19, I will only be doing online sessions via Zoom.
