About Kamilah
My name is Kamilah and I am from East London. I have been a Primary School teacher since 2017, I have taught from Early Years up to Year 4. I have enjoyed teaching such a range of year groups and my passion in teaching is to have each child engaged and motivated to learn. I hope to instill a fearless approach to learning in all of the children I teach, through developing their growth mindset and celebrating mistakes. I have tutored some students alongside my teaching career and the thing that always come of it is much more confident leaners - which I feel is a great achievement.

It is a key priority of mine to ensure the learning feels accessible and achievable for all leaners. Therefore, I like to follow a 'small-steps' approach, turning all the information needed into manageable chunks to be processed at the learners pace.
In order to minimise cognitive load, and to ensure the learning remains engaging my lessons will typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour. My 6year career in Primary School teaching means I am able to teach from ages 4 - 11 years old, I also have experience tutoring Secondary School students up to age 14.
