About Daniel
My teaching experience spans over two decades. An estimated number of students I instructed is 300 at the University of Memphis, TN, and over 1000 at NOVA University in Alexandria, VA.
As I support my students with letters of recommendation, they keep me posted on their career pass. Students, who enroll in Organic Chemistry lecture and laboratory are usually targeting studies in the medical field. Over 200 of my students were accepted to Med School, School of Pharmacy, Dental School, Physical Therapy or Graduate studies. One of my top students got accepted to Harvard Medical School, and is currently pursuing studies there.

My personality is very suitable for being an efficient teacher. I am patient and understanding, upon need, I can rephrase the explanation, I can provide appealing examples for each discussed topic.
I have extensive experience in both teaching and scientific research. I earned a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from West Virginia University. I had an 8 years long tenure at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, where I performed cutting edge research in fuel cells and nanotechnologies. For 4 years served as a full time chemistry faculty at the University of Memphis, TN, and over the past decade I instructed College Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at Northern Virginia Community College, at the Alexandria Campus, in Virginia.
In the classroom, I give Power Point presentation, and provide detailed additional explanation on the board. I am interactive, ask many questions, and encourage student comments and questions. My pay attention to students, so that they can keep up with my pace of lecturing. I tie chemistry topics I instruct to everyday examples of where those topics are important and applied. Given my experience in research, I can provide relevant examples.
In one on one tutoring adapt successfully to my student's learning style, can help in improving in any area, can strongly motivate my students toward hard work, and even embracing chemistry-related careers.
