About Balkis
Hi! I’m an English tutor based in the UK with a genuine interest in languages, communication and helping people become more confident in themselves. I’m also an engineering student and speak both English and Arabic.
I enjoy working with people of different ages and backgrounds, and I understand that speaking a new language can sometimes feel intimidating. I aim to create a friendly and comfortable environment where students can practise without being afraid of making mistakes.
I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable and motivated to use English in their everyday lives.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed and focused on helping you use English confidently in real conversations. Each lesson is personalised to your level and goals, whether you want to improve your speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading or everyday communication.
I have over six years of informal experience helping people of different ages improve their English. I use conversation practice, clear explanations, useful vocabulary and supportive corrections to help you progress naturally.
I welcome learners of different levels and also speak Arabic, which can be especially helpful for Arabic-speaking students. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adapted around your individual goals.
