About Thomas
I am a 24-year-old British graduate with a Bachelors of Arts with First-Class Honours in English & Media. In the UK I was a published journalist for a regional newspaper, currently in Australia aiming to build a freelance career in wildlife journalism. The more enjoyable side of my degree was certainly the literature elements. Learning to think critically and imaginatively is crucial to succeed in English.

My teaching method is a relaxed and imaginative tone. Being English myself, I am unfamiliar with the Australian syllabus. This means a strong dialogue between myself and my pupils is fundamental. By approaching sessions in a back-and-forth structure we will aim to unpick the deepest recesses of meaning (for older students) and understand the importance of context when approaching a text. Once I am familiar with a pupils understanding of frameworks (all abilities) we can begin to apply them to any text.
