Currently I facilitate English and Academic Literacy classes at the University of the Free State. My teaching method is entirely based on the premises that the student only needs guidance towards reaching his/her goal. It is a 'journey' rather than a 'lecture'. In this way the student can exploit his/her own knowledge by learning to access and ponder what they already know, rather than being fed a bunch of new information.
