I would go about learning the student's level and capability from the start. Then based on the tougher topics for the student, I would create a plan so that they can focus on their weaknesses while developing their strengths as well. It would involve a class where I do a class and then do some problems with the student. Then I would also answer any doubts or issues the student would have had in the work given. Occasional quizzes would be done as well. Classes would be around 45-90 mins according to student preferences. I have tutored my juniors for 3 years in science and maths and have helped them understand as well. Now I would love to teach Year 6 till A level and would not mind teaching engineering students.
