About Tanatswa
Hi! I’m a dedicated Mathematics and Science tutor with a strong academic background, and I love helping students understand and enjoy these subjects. I work with middle to high school students, providing clear, step-by-step lessons that make difficult topics easier to grasp and build confidence for exams.
I always come prepared for lessons and tailor my teaching to your pace and learning style. I’m patient, approachable, and happy to answer any questions you have. My goal is not just to help you get better grades, but to help you feel confident, motivated, and capable in math and science.
Together, we’ll work on understanding concepts, solving problems effectively, and preparing for exams so that learning feels manageable, enjoyable, and rewarding.

My Teaching Approach
I believe every student can do well in maths and science with the right support. My approach is clear, patient, and encouraging, focusing on helping students understand ideas step by step instead of memorising formulas. I take time to explain concepts in simple language and adjust my teaching to match each student’s pace and learning style.
I create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
Simple, step-by-step explanations
Clear worked examples before independent practice
Visual aids, diagrams, and everyday examples
Regular checks to make sure the student understands
Practice with exam-style questions to build confidence
A Typical Lesson
A lesson usually starts with a quick review of what we covered before. I then introduce the new topic slowly and clearly, using examples to explain how things work. After that, the student practices with my guidance, and we work through any challenges together. I end the lesson with exam-focused questions, helpful tips, and a short summary.
What Sets Me Apart
I am patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in my students’ progress. I don’t rush lessons, and I make sure students truly understand before moving on. My focus is not just improving marks, but also building confidence and reducing fear around maths and science.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are ideal for middle to high school students who want extra support in maths and science. This includes students who are struggling, those preparing for tests and exams, and learners who simply want to strengthen their understanding. I adapt lessons to the student’s grade level, syllabus, and individual needs.
