About Salma
I am an AI engineer. I build production systems that real companies depend on — automated workflows processing thousands of operations every month, document intelligence platforms, and machine learning features running inside live products used across education, security and manufacturing.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at Multimedia University. Before that I completed an MSc in Information Technology specializing in AI, and a degree in Software Engineering awarded with First Class Honors. My research has been published and presented at international conferences.
I teach because the gap between using AI and understanding it is widening fast, and most people are on the wrong side of it. There is a great deal of material online that will get you to code that runs. Far less will help you understand whether that code is correct, or why a model behaved the way it did, or what to do when it stops working. That understanding is the part that lasts, and it is what I teach.
I take teaching seriously. I prepare properly, I keep to scheduled times, and I will tell you honestly if something falls outside what I can teach well rather than improvising through it.

I teach Python from the very beginning, machine learning fundamentals, and how to work with AI properly—prompt engineering, using AI coding tools well, and building applications on top of language models.
Who these lessons are for
Children from around age ten who are curious about how software works. School and IGCSE Computer Science students. Foundation, Diploma and university students working through Python or machine learning modules and final year projects. Adults learning to code, and working professionals who want to use AI seriously rather than by trial and error.
I adapt completely to age. With younger students we build small games and visible, working things. With university students we go into architecture, algorithms and why one approach beats another.
How I teach
The concept comes first, always. You cannot write code for a problem you do not understand, and most students who are stuck are not stuck on syntax — they are stuck because nobody explained what a loop is actually for, or why a function exists, or what a model is really doing when it learns. So I explain properly, using plain language and examples from things you already understand, and I check that it has landed before we touch the keyboard.
Then we build. Once the idea is clear, you write the code and I watch as you go, because that is when understanding becomes something you own rather than something you followed.
I explain things more than once and in more than one way. If my first explanation does not work for you, that is my problem to solve, not yours. I will find a different angle. Nobody in my lessons is made to feel slow for asking a question twice.
On AI: prompt engineering is taught badly almost everywhere, usually as a list of tricks. I teach it as a working skill — how these models actually behave, why outputs fail, and how to build reliable systems on top of something inherently unpredictable. I do this in production, not in theory.
For coursework I will not write your code for you. I will help you understand the problem, structure your approach and find your own bugs — which is the skill your exam is actually testing.
Lesson length and rates
One hour as standard, forty-five minutes for younger children, ninety minutes for project work. All lessons online with screen sharing.
My base rate covers beginner and school-level lessons. University-level machine learning, final year project supervision and professional AI training are charged higher, confirmed with you before we begin.
