About Dogancan

Hello, I'm Doğancan. Turkish is my native language, and I’m also fluent in English. I live in Dunedin, New Zealand, and I’m a university graduate. Teaching Turkish allows me to share the richness of the language and culture with others, which is why I’m passionate about it. My goal is not only to teach grammar but also to introduce students to the cultural aspects of Turkish. I work with students of all levels, tailoring my approach to meet their needs. Thanks to my communication skills, I build strong connections with my students, making them feel comfortable and confident. My aim is to earn my students' trust and help them progress quickly because I believe that every student can succeed.

About the lesson

In my Turkish lessons, I use an interactive approach that combines grammar, vocabulary, and conversational practice. From the very first lesson, students actively participate in speaking exercises, which enhances both their speaking and listening skills. I also incorporate worksheets, audio resources, and cultural insights to make the learning process engaging and well-rounded. Each lesson lasts 90 minutes, providing ample time to introduce new material, practice, and address any questions. I also assign personalized homework and practice sheets to reinforce the concepts learned during the session. I am a university graduate with experience teaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. My lessons are suitable for all ages and anyone eager to learn Turkish. Whether you're just starting out or looking to perfect your skills, I will adapt the lessons to suit your level and goals.
