About Joung
Hello, my name is Claudia and I am an educational psychology doctoral student. Before starting my doctoral degree, I did my master's degree in Applied Developmental Psychology and my bachelor's in Psychology and Criminology & Criminal Justice Systems (CCJS). Having felt detached from the educational system a few too many times, I want to connect with and bring fellow students in, helping them to engage with the material.

Struggles to keep up with the public education system often impact students' self-esteem and self-competency, impacting their long-term life outcomes (eg. education, salary, career outcomes, etc). I aim to offer structured yet collaborative curriculums to explore and apply the educational materials in personally relevant ways to the students. Fostering personal academic/creative interests within my students is my goal. Students will find freedom and social-emotional competencies (CASEL; self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, relationship skills, and social awareness) within my classroom!
I currently only focus on IB and AP Psychology, occasionally teaching college level Psychology as well. I do know a few other tutors with similar mentalities and can connect you to math, science, and social studies teacher! All are college graduates.
