My teaching style emphasizes the practical - what is this technique used in? What stories come from it?
Depending on the desired level of instruction, we will initially go over the equations involved in things like z-tests, t-tests (also known as A/B tests), and f-tests (ANOVA). After we go over how the tools work, then it's time to practice - both with a calculator, and with software if desired. Once everything is familiar, then we can touch on a few examples of these tests in everyday life, and how the results can be read or manipulated.
I have taken multiple batches of undergraduate students through the use of statistics in research, and trained research assistants who went on to doctorates and business degrees, so you will find use in what I can teach.
Lastly, I am most experienced teaching at the college level, but the fundamentals require at most knowing what exponents and square roots are, so shouldn't be beyond high schoolers.
