About Justine
Hi! I’m Justine, a Civil Engineering graduate from UP Diliman and a DOST-SEI Scholar. If math has ever felt like an intimidating, confusing language to you, I am here to help you translate it into something simple, logical, and highly rewarding!
Having won consistent Mathathon and Math Challenge championships and medaled in the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG), I didn't reach the podium alone. My journey was shaped by the help, guidance, and collective wisdom of generations of elite math coaches who mentored me over the years. Because of this, I don't just tutor math—I coach it. My teaching style is my way of passing that legacy down to you. I will teach you the exact visual problem-solving foundations, testmanship skills, and mental shortcuts passed down by my mentors—the very same tools that helped me conquer advanced engineering coursework with ease.
I am able to bridge the gap between rigorous competitive standards and patient, conceptual coaching. Having been molded by legendary mentors in the Philippine math competitive scene, I understand the student’s journey deeply. Our 60-minute sessions could begin with a 10-minute warm-up to address schoolwork and clear immediate roadblocks, to be followed by a 20-minute conceptual breakdown where we explore the why behind formulas using visual analogies rather than just dry memorization. We then spend 20 minutes on guided practice, solving progressively challenging problems step-by-step to build your confidence, before wrapping up with a 10-minute "I Can Do It" recap where you confidently tackle a final challenge on your own to prove your mastery of the day's topic.
