About Sobur

Hi there! I’m Mr. Adeagbo, your friendly (but passionate!) Science Teacher, and I can’t wait to help you unlock the wonders of science—whether you’re gearing up for GCSEs or just want to understand the world a little better. Why do I teach? Because science isn’t just about memorising facts—it’s about asking why and how. Maybe you’ve struggled with equations, felt lost in biology diagrams, or wondered, "When will I ever use this?" I’ve been there too! That’s why I make lessons clear, engaging, and relevant—so you don’t just learn science, you enjoy it. Why trust me? I’m qualified: PGCE-certified, MSc in Biotechnology, and a licensed UK teacher (QTS). I’ve done this before: Over 7 years of teaching KS3/KS4 Science, with proven results (yes, that 70% engagement boost is real!). I adapt to YOU: Whether you need slow, step-by-step guidance or a fast-paced challenge, I’ll tailor lessons to your goals. My promise to you: No question is "silly"—I’ll explain things as many times as you need. Lessons will be interactive (think virtual labs, quizzes, and real-world examples—no boring monologues!). We’ll track your progress together, so you see your improvement. Science can be tough, but you’re tougher. Let’s turn "I can’t" into "I did!" — Mr. Adeagbo

About the lesson

I believe in student-centred, interactive learning tailored to individual needs. My approach includes: Active Engagement: Using quizzes, virtual labs (e.g., PhET simulations), and real-world applications (e.g., linking DNA to forensic science) to make abstract concepts tangible. Scaffolded Learning: Breaking down complex topics (e.g., photosynthesis, chemical bonding) into manageable steps, with regular check-ins to ensure understanding. Typical Lesson Length: 60 minutes: Balanced between concept explanation (20 mins), guided practice (25 mins), and independent application (15 mins). Shorter 30-minute sessions available for quick revision or homework help. Qualifications & Experience: PGCE (2025) | MSc Biotechnology | QTS-certified (UK). 7+ years teaching KS3/KS4 Science (UK: Paddington Academy, Regis Academy; Nigeria: Foliage Academy). Proven results: Boosted student engagement by 70% through enquiry-based lessons and improved GCSE performance via tailored assessments. Who Are My Lessons For? Levels: KS3 (Years 7–9) | KS4/GCSE (Combined/Single Science: AQA, Edexcel, OCR). Age Group: 11–16 years. Focus Areas: Struggling students: Foundational skills & confidence-building.

Sobur is good and articulate person. Calm and intuitive in his approach to life. This calmness would translate well when teaching his chosen subjects. He is more into careful analysis of problem before broaching tackling it. Would recommend him big time!
