About Ana
I always loved to study, and completed a Bsc in Chemical Engineering and an Msc in Life Sciences and Technology. I am currently doing my DPhil in the University of Oxford, where I am researching on Clinical Medicine, and intend to finish my studies and become a medical doctor after that.
I have always been a top-class student, due to my efforts and pleasure to learn. I also have great knowledge on how to work with children, due to my volunteering experiences up until now, and my part-time jobs as a nanny or carer.
I started tutoring when I was very young, specially my brother, who is 8 years younger than me. I acquired a taste for it, so also tutored my colleagues during my bachelor studies.
I recently started tutoring for GCSEs and it has been an incredible experience for me and my pupils.
I am imaginative, hard-working, and unwilling to give up regardless the difficulties. I believe the key for teaching is to find the individual characteristics of our pupils and work with them according to their strengths.

My method lies on captivating the student, the same way I was captivated when I was learning. Every time I tutored a course some student would not enjoy, I I managed to change their opinion by using an approach that would make them comfortable. I am against forcing the students to memorise the contents of a subject, and I believe right and creative lessons are enough to make any student succeed at any subject.
I teach according to the student's goals for his/her future, but, most importantly, I try to make my pupils overcome themselves in every lesson. Happy to discuss progress with parents on a regular basis.
