About Samuele
My name is Samuele (although I go by Sam) and I am currently pursuing a career in physics research. I am currently in my last year of my masters degree in physics with an astrophysics specialisation at the University of Manchester, after which I will be starting a PhD in the fall of 2024. I have consistently ranked within the top tenth percentile of my course and I’m currently on the way to graduate from my masters with a high first.
Since PhD and professional research positions in academia tend to have a teaching component involved, whether as a teaching assistant or a lecturer, I am eager to practice for the future! I also quite like teaching from prior experience so it’s something I’m happy to do in my free time.

I like to personalise my lessons based on what the individual student is aiming to achieve. This especially goes if they are preparing for a specific assessment. Despite that I do think it is key to lay the groundworks fundamentally understand a topic. With math and physics in particular, this is a lot more useful to better your application skills than rote memorisation. I tutored math and physics throughout high school as well as my first year of my undergrad and found this approach to always be successful.
My lessons range between 1 hour and 90 minutes depending on the student’s request. I am happy to teach high school math and physics (I am mostly experienced with the IB syllabus but I’m also happy to tutor A-levels or other such courses), as well as undergraduate physics. I am also happy to tutor math for younger students as I have also had experience teaching elementary school kids.
