About George
I want to teach because I enjoy helping others grow in confidence and find success with maths. As a current law student, I have developed strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills, which I bring into my lessons to make maths clearer and more approachable. I understand how challenging the subject can feel, so my focus is on creating a patient and supportive learning environment where questions are always welcome. Having achieved a GCSE in maths and studied A-Level maths, I am well-placed to support both primary and GCSE students in building strong foundations and developing the skills they need to succeed. Although I am new to tutoring, I take pride in being approachable, adaptable, and dedicated — qualities that help students feel reassured and motivated. My aim is not just to improve marks, but also to inspire confidence and make maths feel less daunting.

As a current law student with a strong background in mathematics (GCSE and A-Level studies), I bring patience, clarity, and a supportive approach to my tutoring. I aim to help students not only improve their maths skills but also gain confidence and enjoyment in the subject. Lessons are usually one hour long, though I am flexible and can adapt to suit the attention span and needs of each student. My teaching style is interactive and encouraging: for primary pupils, I use step-by-step explanations and lots of practice to build strong foundations; for GCSE students, I focus on problem-solving, exam preparation, and boosting confidence in tackling challenging questions. I provide online lessons for primary and GCSE-level students. Whether your child is starting their maths journey or preparing for exams, I create a safe and approachable environment where questions are always welcome and progress is celebrated. Although I am new to tutoring, my academic background has given me strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to learning, which I share with my students to make maths more manageable and rewarding.
