About Matthew
I am a dedicated student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, which has given me firsthand experience with the challenges of mastering complex subjects. Because of this, I focus on teaching through logical, easy-to-understand methods that break difficult concepts into manageable steps. I also incorporate structured breaks and small rewards to help maintain engagement and motivation. I use a visual and logical approach to make math and physics concepts easier to understand. I like to break difficult problems into smaller steps and use diagrams, graphs, and examples to show how and why something works, rather than just memorizing formulas. Lessons are structured around completing a set of goals or problems each session, with a small reward or break afterward to keep students motivated. From a current student who has difficulties keeping focus, I have a deeper understanding of how to turn studying from a chore to a game of checking off small goals/challenges, making studying feel more rewarding and manageable to keep students engaged. I work with students of any grade level, with a particular focus on higher-level mathematics and physics.
