About David
I have worked as an IT professional for more than 15 years, starting as a Software Engineer and Database Administrator and most recently as a Systems Analyst. My Postgraduate IT qualifications are from the Open University in the areas of Software Engineering and Databases (CCI); Network Engineering (Cisco) and Information Security and Forensics. (My work has specialised in SQL teaching, the mitigation of SQL-Injection and algorithms for security analysis using PASTA) I originally trained to teach with Warwick University (PGCE) where I taught Science up to A-Level and since then I have supervised students (2nd yr UG) during their UG project work at Cardiff University (where I was studying Intelligent Tutoring Systems). Online tuition, from basics of IT through to advanced programming techniques, utilising internet resources and experience for bespoke approach to suit student requirements. Lessons typically 1 hr 15 min. Qualified with 3 MSc degrees in different areas of IT, trained and qualified to teach at secondary level (PGCE) with experience of teaching/tutoring at secondary and UG levels. Will tutor any age or ability of student.
