About Ranjita

I am a Computational Biologist with a Ph.D. in Genetics and a minor in Statistics from Texas A&M University. Currently, I work at a leading biotech company in Boston, where I apply my expertise in computational biology to model complex biological systems using cutting-edge techniques like machine learning, data visualization, and statistical modeling. My extensive postdoctoral research experience at Cornell University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has sharpened my ability to analyze genomic data and contribute to groundbreaking biological research.

In addition to my scientific career, I have over 7 years of experience tutoring students at all levels—high school through graduate studies—in subjects including Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Python, R, and TOEFL preparation. I have delivered over 1,000 hours of personalized tutoring (both online and in-person), earning 5-star ratings for my student-centered approach. My teaching focuses on interactive learning, using real-life examples and problem-solving to ensure a deep understanding of complex concepts. I adapt each lesson to meet the unique needs of my students, helping them gain clarity and confidence in their studies. Whether you're preparing for exams or tackling advanced topics, my goal is to guide you to success.

I work with students from high school to graduate levels in biology, ecology, environmental sciences, data sciences, genetics, and statistics.
