About Sarah
I am a full-time professor of health science at a community college and I truly love learning and teaching science. As a professor, I don't spend a lot of time per week in the classroom---my lectures are largely online and a lot of my time is spent assessing students (grading assignments and tests). I have started tutoring on the side because I personally find the one-on-one teaching experiences the most enjoyable and rewarding.

I have a lot of experience tutoring in biology and chemistry and have fine-tuned the process. I spend a bit of time assessing what the student knows already so that we can use our time efficiently to make forward progress. I also aim to equip tutees with skills they can use on their own to be successful in continuing the learning process after the tutoring session is over. I love biology and chemistry and have a wealth of knowledge and interesting examples and phenomena to share that make learning more enjoyable. I am available to help high school or college students with chemistry (intro, general) and biology (cell, molecular, human bio).
