About Edi
Hi! I'm a passionate maths tutor based in the UK with a real love for making numbers click. I've spent years helping students build confidence in maths — turning confusion into clarity, one concept at a time. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy problem-solving in all its forms, which is probably why maths became such a big part of my life. I'd love to help you or your child get to grips with the subject and actually enjoy it!
Teaching experience: 1 year + 2000 lessons taught (as of April 2026)
Exam preparation experience: SATS, 11+, Functional Skills Level 1 & 2, GCSE, iGCSE
Exam board experience: Edexcel, TQUK, AQA, OCR, WJEC, EDUQAS, CIE

Teaching Methodology:
Assessments - This will be used to gauge the student's current level of understanding in different topics. From there, I will identify strengths and weaknesses to tailor my tutoring sessions accordingly.
Setting Clear Goals - I will establish clear, achievable goals for each tutoring session by breaking down larger objectives into smaller, manageable tasks to track progress easily.
Understanding The Curriculum – I do this to focus on the key topics and ensure that my tutoring aligns with the exam requirements.
Create a Customized Plan - It’s important to create a personalised study plan based on the student's needs and goals as well as their preferred way of learning.
Adaptability - If a particular method or explanation isn't working, I’m prepared to try alternative approaches until I find what works best for the student.
Regular Feedback – I’ll highlight strengths and areas for improvement, and celebrate achievements to boost confidence and keep the student motivated.
Review And Revise – I’ll periodically review and revise the tutoring plan based on the student's progress. Adjust goals and strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Parental Involvement – I’ll keep parents informed about the student's progress by sharing strategies and resources that they can use to support their child's learning at home.
