About Soorya
My teaching approach combines strong classical foundations with a fun, youthful, and encouraging learning environment. With 16 years of training in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and semi-classical dance and 3 years of teaching experience, I focus on helping students learn with confidence rather than fear or pressure.
Classes are adapted to each student's age, experience, and goals. We usually begin with a warm-up, followed by basic steps and technique, expressions, choreography, and practice. I explain movements patiently and break difficult steps into simple parts so that students can learn comfortably at their own pace.
I especially enjoy teaching beginners and young students, while also welcoming anyone who wants to improve their classical or semi-classical dance skills. My goal is to make every class enjoyable, interactive, and motivating while maintaining the discipline and beauty of classical dance.
