About SIYU
My name is Mia, I am a Native Mandarin speaker and quiet fluent in Cantonese. I am a postgraduate student at Imperial College London. I have been giving lessons for 3 months to a student from Nepal and then we become good friends because I am full of passion and patience when I am in the class.

During the pandemic, I am doing the course by skype or teams. The first free course is about 30 min to get to know each other and to design the course. I mainly do the oral course. Before each lesson, you gotta tell me at least 2 days in advance which topic you would like to talk about so that I can prepare the topic for you and after each lesson I will give you the notes.
My teaching method is to create the interesting atmosphere in the class. I always inspire the imagination of the students, letting them deeply understand the mysteries behind the Chinese characters and further stimulating their interests in Chinese culture which supplement each other.
