About Tom
I obtained my PhD from the University of York, where I then worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 2 years. I have been working as a Lecturer for the past 12 months, delivering lectures, seminars and workshops. I can teach from Year 9 to university advanced level courses. My expertise cover all areas of Chemistry, with previous students achieving 2 grades higher within 6 months.

Delivering high-quality teaching is different for everybody, and understanding how a student learns best is critical. I believe making a student understand why, is much better than rote learning. I have found that incorporating recall into each session, and showcasing applicability will give lots of practise for exams, with minor changes for exam technique.
