About Camilla
I am Camilla, a Chemistry with Biomedicine graduate from King’s College London, with a strong passion for scientific research and education. I have a particular interest in cancer biology, also known as oncology. I currently work at a pharmaceutical company and will soon be starting a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmaceuticals.
I am also exploring other areas of science, such as the use of plants and plant chemistry in medicine. I enjoy reminding people of the beauty of science by teaching it and making it easier to understand. I know how challenging it can be, as I once struggled myself, but I was able to improve my grades significantly, going from an E to an A.

I use simple and clear explanations to make sure students fully understand each topic. I break things down step by step and use real-life examples where possible. I also adapt my teaching style depending on the student, whether they prefer visual learning, practice questions, or discussion. I focus on building confidence as well as knowledge. I can draw things out and dissect the topic at hand.
My lessons usually last around 60 minutes but can be shorter or longer (45 min to 3 hours). I am flexible depending on the student’s needs, offering shorter or longer sessions if required.
My lessons are suitable for students, especially those studying GCSEs or A-levels. I can support students who need help understanding topics, preparing for exams.
I have experience mentoring students in lower years with exam guidance and plan, as well as tutoring my classmates. I am used to explaining concepts in simple, everyday language, which helps students who may find science easier to understand.
