About Pranamya
For me, Carnatic music is not just an art form, it is a beautiful heritage that shaped who I am today. Having learned since I was 5 years old in a household dedicated to music, I know firsthand the immense joy, focus, and cultural connection it brings to a child's life. I want to teach future students because I believe classical music should never feel rigid or intimidating. My goal is to pass on this rich South Indian tradition to the next generation in a way that is fresh, encouraging, and deeply engaging. There is nothing more rewarding to me than watching a young student find their confidence, hit their first perfect note (Sruthi), and develop a lifelong love for music.

Hello! I am a certified Carnatic Classical Music Vocalist who has lived and breathed music since I was 5 years old. I grew up in a musical household where my mother ran her own music school, and I began helping her teach other young children from an early age. Today, I hold official Junior and Senior Grade Certifications from India. Because I have been teaching kids since my own youth, I know exactly how to make South Indian classical music fun, natural, and highly engaging for the next generation.
I offer flexible learning options to fit your family's schedule: in-person (offline) lessons from my home in the UK, as well as interactive online classes via Zoom/Skype. I speak Kannada, English and Hindi. My style blends traditional discipline with a warm, encouraging environment where children feel safe and confident. What your child will learn: The Basics: Sarali Varisais, Janta Varisais, and Alankaras for perfect pitch (Sruthi) and rhythm (Thalam). Repertoire: Beautiful Geethams, traditional Bhajans, and simple devotional slokas. Voice Culture: Gentle breathing and vocal techniques to help children sing effortlessly. Theory: Simple, kid-friendly breakdowns of how Ragas (scales) work.
