About Shannon (Chu-Ning)
I have 5 years of experience tutoring since, having done so since my last year of high school. I taught math and English in my home country. For over 2 years I have also taught Chinese language. I am TCSOL certifified, so my classes are well structured and I know how to tailor my lessons to each student.
Besides speaking Chinese and English, I also have gotten JLPT( Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) N2 level and have basic Korean language ability by self-learning. As both a language tutor and a language learner I know what it takes to learn a new language. I believe the trick to learning a language is to focus on learning the accurate pronounciation of all of the sounds and sufficient practice, so I always encourage my students to speak more in class. It is okay to not be 100% correct, the goal is to be good enough to communicate.
