About Katrina
Hi! I’m Katrina, a certified Alberta teacher with a Bachelor of Education from Mount Royal University and a minor in French Immersion. I’m currently completing my Master of Education at the University of Calgary.
I have several years of classroom experience, primarily in elementary French Immersion, and I’m certified to teach Kindergarten through Grade 12. My strongest areas are K–6 French Immersion, literacy, numeracy, and individualized learning support.
I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident and capable, especially when school has started to feel frustrating or overwhelming. I aim to create a warm, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building their skills at their own pace.

My tutoring approach is supportive, individualized, and focused on building confidence. I begin by identifying what a student understands, where they are getting stuck, and how they learn best. Lessons typically include a short review, clear instruction, guided practice, and independent application.
I use visuals, modelling, repetition, and step-by-step instruction to make learning feel manageable. I am a certified Alberta teacher with experience in French Immersion elementary classrooms and specialize in K–6 French Immersion, literacy, numeracy, homework support, and executive functioning. I am also happy to support students outside of French Immersion and older students depending on their individual needs.
