About Frederick
I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and then completed A Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics with an A* in all of them. I later studied Mathematics at Durham University and graduated with First Class Honours before completing the MASt Part III in Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge.

My lessons are calm and structured, and the main aim is to help you feel more confident with maths. We begin each session with a short recap to check what you already understand, and then we move into the topic you want to work on.
I explain ideas using intuition and simple analogies rather than heavy formulas. If something does not make sense straight away, I am patient and will try a different angle until it becomes clear. I check your understanding throughout the lesson with small questions so you never feel lost or rushed.
Lessons are one hour and fully online. I use screen sharing to work through examples step by step, and I write things out clearly as we go. At the end of each lesson, I send a summary of what we covered and what you can practise before the next session.
I enjoy teaching all types of students, including those aiming for top grades, those who feel behind, and those who want clearer explanations. My approach is friendly, easy-going and supportive, while still being structured enough to help you make steady progress.
The aim is always the same: to help you understand the ideas properly and feel more confident with maths.
