About Jade
I’m a Cambridge graduate with 5 years of tutoring experience, working with students from Year 4 through to Year 11. I specialise in helping students build a strong understanding of Maths while developing the confidence and exam technique needed to perform at their best.
For GCSE Maths, I teach both Foundation and Higher, covering grades 4–9 across AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
My approach goes beyond simply getting the correct answer. I focus on helping students understand why a method works and how to apply it to unfamiliar questions. We also work on exam technique, including how to approach questions efficiently, recognise common traps, show working clearly and manage time effectively.
Lessons can be tailored to what each student needs. This could include:
• Full coverage and revision of the GCSE syllabus
• Targeted support with specific topics or weak areas
• Exam-paper practice and exam technique
• Support alongside school lessons
• Homework and coursework support
• Preparation for moving from a lower grade towards a higher target
I also have experience preparing students for 11+ and 13+ examinations.

Personalised lessons, focused on making measurable progress.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs. We begin by identifying areas of difficulty and setting clear goals, then build a structured plan around those goals. I regularly review progress and adapt lessons as the student's understanding develops.
For GCSE students, lessons can combine targeted topic work, exam-style questions and past papers. I place particular emphasis on understanding how to approach unfamiliar questions, choosing the right methods, avoiding common mistakes and working efficiently under exam conditions.
Where needed, we can also work through the full GCSE Maths syllabus, covering both Foundation and Higher papers and grades 4–9 across AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
My aim is not simply to help students get through individual questions, but to develop their understanding, confidence and exam technique so that they feel properly prepared for their exams.
I also share practical advice on revision, exam preparation and managing workload effectively.
