About Nicholas
I graduated with an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and problem-solving. I have an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Cambridge. My approach focuses on building real understanding, not just memorizing formulas or procedures.
In a typical session, we start by identifying exactly where you're stuck - often it's not where you think it is. I break down complex concepts into clear, logical steps and use diagrams, examples, and different explanations until things click. If the textbook approach isn't working, we find a different way to think about it.
What makes my tutoring effective is patience and clarity. I remember what it's like to struggle with material that seems impossible, and I know that satisfying moment when it finally makes sense. I won't rush through concepts, and there's no such thing as a stupid question.
My lessons are designed for high school students (grades 10-12) working through Math, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry, IB and AP students preparing for exams, and university students tackling Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Mechanics, and Engineering Mathematics. I work with students who want to build strong foundations, improve grades, or prepare for competitive university programs.
