About Roy
I recently arrived in the UK in November 2023 and am fascinated by British culture—the language, the way of life, and, of course, the pub culture! It's brilliant, isn't it?
While I am doing my best to start my new life and fit into this country, I also want to preserve my own language and introduce and promote my lovely mother tongue and culture to anyone interested. That's how I came up with the idea of teaching Cantonese!

Teaching method:
- Lesson materials will be based on real-life examples and everyday situations.
- Lessons will focus on verbal communication, encouraging students to express themselves in Cantonese. (Cantonese/Traditional Chinese writing classes can be provided upon request)
- Beginner and Intermediate classes will be conducted in both English and Cantonese to provide a comfortable learning environment.
- Expert classes will be mainly conducted in Cantonese, with English assistance only if necessary.
- **Handouts in PDF will be provided in each lesson
Length of lesson:
- 30 minutes to 60 minutes, depends on your schedule
Experience:
- Organized and hosted STEM classes in Cantonese for students in Hong Kong.
- Currently a private tutor in Kent.
Target Audience:
- Beginner Level: Everyone! Children starting from Year 3 are welcome.
- Intermediate Level: Anyone over 18 who is interested in Cantonese and has basic knowledge of the language.
- Expert Level: Students who have completed the Intermediate class and wish to delve deeper into the Cantonese language and culture.
