About Adam
My name is Adam and I am a First-Class Biomedical Sciences graduate from Brunel University London.
My academic background has given me a strong understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, while my tutoring experience has taught me how to explain difficult ideas in a clear, patient and relatable way.
I have spent the last two years working professionally in a tuition centre in London. During this time, I have successfully helped dozens of students overcome academic hurdles, reduce exam anxiety, and dramatically boost their science grades. Alongside tutoring, I have completed biomedical research focused on Alzheimer’s disease and immunology and gained experience in healthcare environments, including Moorfields Eye Hospital. These experiences allow me to connect scientific concepts to real-life medicine and help students understand why the topics they study matter.
I am approachable, organised and genuinely invested in each student’s progress. Whether a student is struggling with the basics, aiming to move from Foundation to Higher tier or working towards the highest GCSE grades, I adapt my teaching to their individual goals and learning style.

My lessons are designed to make science feel clear, manageable and exam-focused rather than overwhelming. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths, weaker topics and target grade, then tailor every lesson accordingly. Complex concepts are broken down into simple explanations, diagrams and real-life examples before students apply their understanding through carefully selected exam questions.
My Teaching Approach:
Interactive Active Recall: We use diagnostic quizzes and interactive diagrams rather than just reading textbooks, ensuring information actually sticks.
Exam Board Targeting: We dissect real past paper questions from AQA, Edexcel, and OCR to master hidden marking criteria and exam timing.
Tailored Pace: I adapt every concept to match the student’s unique learning speed, filling in knowledge gaps systematically.
Lesson Structure: A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a short recap, focused teaching, guided practice and independent questions. I also teach students how to interpret command words, structure high-mark answers, avoid common mistakes and apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations. Past-paper practice is used regularly, with detailed feedback so students understand exactly how to improve.
As a First-Class Biomedical Sciences graduate with over 5 years of professional tutoring experience, I combine strong subject knowledge with a patient, encouraging and personalised teaching style. My aim is not only to improve grades, but also to build each student’s confidence and independence in science.
