About Ada
My name is Ada and I am a Biomedical Science undergrad with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and college-level math. My goal is to help students build confidence by truly understanding concepts. I tutor high school and college students in biology, chemistry (including organic chemistry), and math up to calculus.
My teaching style is structured and student-focused. I identify problem areas, explain concepts in simple steps, and work through practice problems together before gradually encouraging independent work. I adjust my approach based on each student’s pace and learning style.
A typical lesson includes a quick review, focused explanation of key topics, guided practice, and time for questions. I also share study strategies when helpful for exams and assignments.

I focus on helping students build a true understanding of concepts rather than relying on memorization. My teaching method is structured but flexible—I first identify where a student is struggling, then break down the material into simple, digestible steps. I often use real-world examples, diagrams, and step-by-step problem solving to make abstract topics easier to understand.
A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in to identify problem areas or upcoming assignments/exams. From there, we review key concepts, work through guided practice problems together, and then gradually shift toward independent problem-solving with feedback. I also include short summaries or study strategies at the end of sessions to reinforce learning and help students study more effectively outside of tutoring.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify difficult science and math topics while maintaining academic accuracy. As a Biomedical Science student, I understand the challenges of rigorous STEM coursework and the pressure of pre-health tracks. I aim to make complex material feel approachable and manageable, especially for students who feel overwhelmed or behind.
My lessons are designed for high school and college students taking biology, chemistry (including organic chemistry), and math courses such as pre-calculus and calculus. I also support students in general STEM coursework and pre-med related classes who want to strengthen their understanding, improve grades, and build confidence for exams.
