About Ellie
I’m a Biology undergraduate at the University of York. During my GCSEs and A Levels I struggled with reaching my academic goals but I later learnt various techniques that helped me to achieve top grades. In the lessons I want to support every student in realising their full potential in their subjects.

My teaching methodology focuses on helping students to understand the content rather than just telling them what they should memorise for their exams. This helps them to gain a better understanding, which is very useful for answering exam questions (which are often based on application rather than factual recall). The lesson will be tailored to the needs of the student and will be structured as more of a conversation to create a relaxed environment. The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour.
