About Niloo
I am Niloo, and I hope to be your guide through the incredibly exciting and fascinating worlds of Biology and Chemistry. Science is our tool for investigating our world, and I believe every single person is capable of understanding it.
I remember what it was like to feel lost and confused in the middle of a science class. I hope to help you feel empowered from learning science, instead of feeling anxiety and dread.
I have completed my university degree in Biology, and gone on to work in a laboratory, where my job was to research and develop products using Chemistry and science. I am also completing my second degree in Chemistry. If you would have told me in year 11 that I would one day work in a Chemistry lab, I wouldn't have believed you!
It doesn't matter if you want to become the next Nobel Prize winner or just pass your next assessment. I will listen to any questions you have and we will work together to achieve your goals.
The study of science is wonderful and everyone deserves a fair shot at learning it. I hope to help you do exactly that!

I believe everyone can succeed in learning science when their needs are met, and their questions and misconceptions are addressed by someone who truly cares.
The key to true understanding is tailored and individual support for every unique person. I begin by identifying what a student already knows, and analyze the gaps in their knowledge. By filling these gaps and building a solid foundation, students can begin to think like true scientists.
Complex problems are broken down into real-world examples, easier to understand analogies, and manageable steps. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they need to and explain concepts back to me in their own words to foster active learning.
A typical lesson would last 60 minutes, however there is flexibility for all ages and learning types.
We spend time to address exactly where a student is, what their goals are, and talk about how they like to learn best. This can include going through practice questions and past exams together, breaking down tricky to understand concepts, using flash cards, and getting to the root of confusion.
I am available to tutor students from primary school through to Year 13, with support ranging from foundational science to Scholarship-level preparation.
My experience includes a graduate role within an R&D Chemistry laboratory, Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences as well as currently finishing up a Graduate Diploma of Science in Chemistry.
